Speedometer adds a clean real-time speed readout directly to the Seamoth HUD.
The display uses the vehicle's actual Rigidbody velocity and shows speed in meters per second using a simple format:

14.6m/s
The speed readout updates alongside the existing Seamoth HUD and automatically hides whenever the vanilla vehicle HUD is hidden.

Speed is displayed in meters per second:

0.0m/s
5.8m/s
14.6m/s
The speedometer is positioned underneath the Seamoth temperature display by default.
Position Adjustment
The Speedometer position can be adjusted from the Nautilus Mods menu using:

[]X Offset - Moves the display left or right[/]
[]Y Offset - Moves the display up or down[/]
Offsets are relative to the existing temperature HUD element, so the speedometer continues to follow the Seamoth HUD when UI scaling or HUD positioning changes.

+ See Vehicle Damage Affect Your Speed
Speedometer pairs especially well with Hull Strain.
Hull Strain reduces vehicle propulsion as hull integrity decreases, while Speedometer lets you see the effect directly in real time.
For example, a damaged Seamoth that normally reaches around 14.6m/s may only reach around 9m/s after taking significant hull damage.
Neither mod requires the other, but together they provide immediate visual feedback for vehicle damage and performance.
