Valheim Storage
Your chests do the work: crafting, building, smelting, cooking, fires and ballistas all pull resources from containers in range. Shift fills stations completely, Ctrl pulls items to you, Alt disables the mod. Plus a quick-stack button that sorts your inventory into matching chests — items visibly fly over. Configurable per station.
查看大图Description
Ends the storage shuffle in Valheim. Anything that consumes resources — crafting stations, the build hammer, smelters, kilns, fires, cooking stations, even ballistas — can take what it needs from the chests around it. One extra button sorts your inventory back into the right chests, with every item visibly flying into the chest it lands in.
Installation instructions
[]Install BepInEx for Valheim (e.g. via your mod manager).[/]
[]Drop
ValheimStorage.dll
into
Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/
.[/]
[]In multiplayer, install the mod on every client.[/]
[]All settings (range, station toggles, keys, colors, disallow lists) are in
BepInEx/config/org.bepinex.plugins.valheimstorage.cfg
and fully editable in-game with ConfigurationManager (F1).[/]
Main features
[]Pull resources from all containers in range when: crafting an item, upgrading an item, building a construction piece, adding fuel or ore to a smelter or blast furnace, adding wood to a kiln, adding fuel to a fire, standing torch or sconce, cooking food (and fueling ovens), doing whatever it is you do with windmills and spinning wheels, and reloading ballista turrets. Placed backpacks, carts and ship holds count as containers too.[/]
[]Favorite items: hold Left Alt (rebindable via FavoriteModifier) and left-click an item to mark it as favorite — a heart overlay appears on its slot. Favorites are skipped by the stack-all buttons (both the mod's Stack button and the vanilla container one) and can't be dropped until you unmark them. Works in chests too, and the mark sticks to the item through moving, storing, logout and world saves.[/]
[]Modifier keys (all rebindable): hold Left Shift to fill a station completely with ore/fuel/ammo in one interaction; hold Left Ctrl to pull the resources into your inventory instead of feeding the station; hold Left Alt to switch the mod off entirely — or set
SwitchPrevent
to make the mod work only while the key is held.[/]
[]Smarter crafting UI: recipes show as craftable based on everything in range, requirement numbers show the total available including chests (e.g. "10 (34)"), and materials your inventory alone is short of flash yellow (color configurable) instead of red when nearby chests cover them.[/]
[]Quick-stack button next to your inventory: moves every item that already exists in a nearby container into it — topping up stacks first, then free slots; full chests are skipped, equipped gear never moves. Drop a dragged item onto the button to stack only that item type instead. Each stored item's model arcs from you into its chest, visible to all players nearby. [/]
[]Fine-grained control: per-station-type toggles (crafting, building, smelters, fires, cooking, turrets), a
StationDisallow
list for individual stations, and
FuelDisallowTypes
/
OreDisallowTypes
prevent lists (comma separated prefab names, e.g.
RoundLog,FineWood
— the fuel list deliberately doesn't apply to kilns, which treat wood as ore).[/]
[]Traceable: every resource pulled from a container writes an info entry to the log, so you can always retrace what was taken from where — toggleable with
LogPulls
.[/]
[]Plays fair: private chests you can't open and warded areas are respected (without flashing the ward); chests another player has open are left alone.[/]
Requirements
[]BepInEx 5.x[/]
[]Required on all clients in multiplayer (container changes replicate correctly; the flying-item animation syncs between modded clients)[/]
[]No dependencies; recommended alongside ConfigurationManager for live tuning, and compatible with EquipmentAndQuickSlots (the quick-stack button repositions itself next to the quick slots)[/]
Shout outs
Thanks to CraftFromContainers and AzuCraftyBoxes for pioneering these mechanics and inspiring this implementation, RandyKnapp for EquipmentAndQuickSlots, the BepInEx and HarmonyX teams, and Iron Gate for Valheim.
