When dismantling damaged solar cell arrays with a wrench or higher-tier tool, there is a 30% chance to obtain 1 to 3 solar cells (each cell calculates the chance independently; you can adjust the values in the blocks.xml file to suit your gameplay experience).

Until now, the only way to obtain these items was through trading (at extremely high prices), so I thought it would be a good idea to use these damaged solar cell arrays to get some solar power in the early to mid-game.

Note: Solar cell arrays can now be found in "Frequent Steve" loot crates or trucks!
