This mod adds the Oath of the Open Sea paladin subclass from Critical Role, created as a commission.

The Oath of the Open Sea is a paladin devoted to freedom, adventure, exploration, and the protection of travelers. Its theme evokes a champion of the sea: part adventurer, part guardian, and part naval warrior, wielding the power of the ocean and water.

I have implemented the subclass with the goal of reproducing the original Oath of the Open Sea mechanics as faithfully as possible within Baldur's Gate 3. Where certain mechanics could not be directly implemented due to the limitations of Baldur's Gate 3's systems, they have been adapted to fit the game's mechanics while preserving the original concept and gameplay identity as closely as possible.

The subclass includes its original oath features, water-based abilities, defensive auras, and high-level abilities, along with several adaptations specifically designed for Baldur's Gate 3.

Additionally, three of the Oath Spells included exclusively in this mod—Water Walk, Control Water, and Freedom of the Winds—are also available for use by other classes.

이번 모드는 커미션을 받아 Critical Role에 등장하는 팔라딘 하위 직업인 망망대해의 맹세(Oath of the Open Sea)를 구현했습니다.

망망대해의 맹세는 자유, 모험, 탐험과 여행자의 보호를 중시하는 팔라딘입니다. 바다의 용사이자 모험가, 수호자이면서 해군을 연상시키는 콘셉트를 가지고 있으며, 바다와 물의 힘을 사용하는 것이 특징입니다.

이번 모드는 발더스 게이트 3의 환경에서 원본 망망대해의 맹세의 기능을 최대한 충실하게 재현하는 것을 목표로 제작했습니다. 발더스 게이트 3의 시스템적인 한계로 인해 원본의 일부 기능을 그대로 구현할 수 없는 경우에는, 원래의 콘셉트와 플레이 스타일을 최대한 유지하면서 발더스 게이트 3의 시스템에 맞게 각색하여 구현했습니다.

원본의 맹세 능력과 물을 활용한 공격 및 방어 능력, 오라, 고레벨 능력 등을 포함하고 있으며, 일부 기능은 발더스 게이트 3의 환경에 맞게 별도로 조정되었습니다.

추가로 이 모드에만 들어 있는 맹세 주문 중 세 주문들은 (수상 보행, 물 제어, 바람의 자유) 다른 클래스도 사용 가능합니다.
