What It Does

Adds a Mod Configs category to the game's options screen, and a button on the pause menu that opens it. No alt-tabbing to a text editor.

Finds the config files of every UE4SS Lua mod you are running and lists them by mod. It reads Lua config files, INI, JSON and key=value text, and it works out what a file is by looking inside it, so it does not need to know your mods in advance.

Shows each value as the control it really is: switches for on/off settings, sliders for numbers with the exact value typeable beside the bar, dropdowns for settings with a fixed list of choices, and text boxes for names, paths and hotkeys.

Hovering a setting shows what it does. Descriptions are written for hundreds of settings across the popular mods, and a mod author's own comments fill in the rest.

Under a text box or a dropdown, Possible Entries opens into everything that setting accepts, with a filter box for long lists.

Search narrows the mod list as you type. Advanced Mode shows a mod's code-side options as well as its normal settings.

Presets save every setting as a named set you can load later. Each one is a plain file, so sending a preset to a friend is sending a file.

Edits save through the game's own apply prompt and are written into each mod's own config file, keeping the author's comments intact. They take effect the next time that mod loads.

Every word follows your game language, in all 17 languages Palworld ships.

Requirements

Palworld on Steam. The Microsoft Store and Game Pass versions are not supported.

UE4SS Experimental (Palworld), Steam Workshop item 3625223587. It is listed as a required

UE4SS (RE-UE4SS Okaetsu Experimental-Palworld) from Nexus Mods, mod 3035, listed under this mod's Requirements. The Nexus page named just "UE4SS" is a different, older line and will not load this mod.

Installation

Steam Workshop: subscribe, launch Palworld, and enable the mod under Options > Mod

Nexus Mods: on the Files tab use Mod manager download for Vortex, or Manual download and extract the zip into your Palworld folder (the one holding Palworld.exe) so that Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\UniversalConfigManager\Scripts\main.lua exists. Install UE4SS first and launch the game once. To uninstall, delete that folder.
Open Options > Mod Configs from the title screen or the pause menu. Nothing needs installing on a server: this mod edits files on your own machine.
Configuration
Universal Config Manager needs no setup. Everything is on its own tab in the options menu: Advanced Mode and Search sit at the top of the mod list, and Presets has its own page which shows you where preset files are kept.
Compatibility

Works alongside Native Mod Options and Mod Options Framework.

Client side only. It edits files on your own machine and changes nothing in the world, so it is safe in singleplayer, co-op and on a server, and other players do not need it. A setting that governs how another mod behaves for everyone is read by that mod on the host, so changing your copy in someone else's world does not change theirs.
