[size=3]Sebastian is back in Pelican Town, living with his sister's family in their basement. He has a new set of problems -- rent, constant tension with his brother-in-law and uncertainty about the future. He also has a new set of relationships, new dialogue and a whole lot of history that comes back to haunt him. He's the same guy... but also not.[/size]

[/b][size=3]Kantrip's Older Sebastian is an NPC mod for SDV's vanilla character. It updates all of his vanilla dialogue, adds hundreds of lines of new dialogue (including after marriage!), adds a bunch of new events (both before and after marriage), and tweaks his relationships with other SDV characters. Older Seb is in his mid thirties and has led a pretty rocky life, including some prison time. [/size]

[size=3][b]This mod includes some darker themes[/b], mostly drug use and absent fathers. You can disable some of the more serious events (labeled "black events") with a configuration change, and the mod will provide alternative versions for most of them. However, I highly recommend playing with [/size][color=#d9d2e9][size=3][b]Black Events ON[/b][/size][/color][size=3], in order to get the most complete version of Older Seb's backstory.[/size]

[b]This [size=3]is not an 18+ or NSFW (explicit) mod. [/size][/b][size=3]While it is possible to get Older Seb to push the farmer up against the wall during his 7 hearts event, it fades to black. (And very few of you find that option anyway). Additionally, there is some mildly suggestive content in Sebastian's marriage dialogue that can be turned off with the "clean marriage dialogue" setting. I did not add a swear filter toggle, but there are only two f-bombs in the entire mod. [/size]

[size=3]The Seven Hearts event is the first "Black Event" of the mod. If you want to see this event, you will need to [b]not start dating Seb until after this event is seen[/b] (and make sure black events are enabled via the config file). Otherwise, you will trigger the 8 hearts (white) event instead.[/size][/color][/center]

[/b][/size][/color][size=3]This mod came about because I always liked Sebastian's vibes, but could never get past his attitude and his whiny vanilla dialogue. I felt that he would be a more interesting person (and marriage candidate) if he actually went out there and lived a little before settling down. I did end up leaning into the angst a little, but only to answer the following question:[/size]

[center][b][size=3]If Sebastian had grown up and left the valley -- started a life and career of his own -- why was he back in Pelican Town? [/size][/b][/center]

[size=3]Older Seb has [b][color=#d9d2e9]Seen Some Shit[/color][/b]. His life didn't go the way he hoped it would -- by the time you meet him, he's scarred and battered. But not broken. Unlike vanilla Shane, Older Seb never gave up on realizing his dreams. He just... needs a little help. Both from the farmer and his family.[/size]

[size=3]I made one major change to Seb's relationship with his family that may impact how well this mod plays with others:[/size]

[size=3]This makes Maru his niece and Demetrius his brother-in-law. Any dialogue mods that reference Robin/Seb in a mother/son relationship will therefore have lore compatibility issues with this mod.
