导管与能量塔 多种无线电力覆盖范围
这个模组为导管和塔架添加了3种无线能量范围选项:无无线、弱无线和强无线,这些选项可以在不改变默认设置的情况下制作。
查看大图After spending about 50 hours trying various settings and combinations to automatically activate settlement lights, I discovered that default conduits and power poles have wireless power interaction (range 500) with bulbs, which may adversely affect your house layout.
Features of this mod:
- Adds NoWireless (range 0) options for conduits and towers, which can be crafted without changing default options
- Adds WeakWireless (range 50) options for conduits and towers, craftable without changing defaults
- Adds StrongWireless options for conduits and towers (conduit range 1000, small tower range 5000, large tower range 10000), all craftable without changing defaults
Optional file additions:
- Smaller versions of vanilla, NoWireless, WeakWireless, and StrongWireless conduits, as well as wall and ceiling conduits for wall switches
- NoWireless switch options
What this mod does NOT include:
- It does not replace vanilla conduits and towers (range 500); it only adds more wireless power ranges
- It does not eliminate the need for conduits and towers to have a wire connection to a generator, either directly or as part of a chain (there is a method for bulbs to act as wires, but it is buggy, unstable, and impractical for actual use)
What the optional file does NOT do:
- It does not make vanilla conduits smaller, but adds a smaller vanilla range variant
- This is to retain the option of unmodified conduits; removing the mod will not damage them
- It does not make ground conduits smaller, as wire droop causes two ground conduits placed too close together to offer no practical benefit
- As far as I can see, it does not change collision boxes. I cannot make them change
- It does not resize any tower bases
- I personally have no interest in overly small or large tower bases, as viable and practical variants already exist in the game
Usage examples:
- Use NoWireless towers and conduits to connect switches to individual rooms, then use WeakWireless or vanilla conduits to power each room, lighting bulbs. This prevents accidentally powering other rooms via NoWireless towers or NoWireless conduits
- Use NoWireless to transform high-voltage power poles into poles that do not power wirelessly but still hold wires above the street
- I combined NoWireless power poles, conduits, and pressure plates to create an ugly but functional lighting system for my settlement—lights on at night, off during day
- This requires identifying where settlers (as many as possible) gather "after work" and hoping they stand on pressure plates (more people increases trigger chance)
- Sometimes they seem to deliberately avoid pressure plates out of sheer malice
- I also placed a sleeping bag on one pressure plate and assigned a settler to it, so at least the lights are always on when she sleeps
- This setup also allows counters and spacing towers to sit closely without interfering with each other
Note: This uses the same wireless power from the vanilla game for bulbs. It cannot power devices that require a wire connection (e.g., pressure plates). Additionally, if this mod is removed, all crafted items added to the game via this mod will disappear.
If someone gives me a good reason, I might be willing to make floor conduit or tower versions as well.
