A Clean Slate (Modded Saves Pack)

A Clean Slate (Modded Saves Pack)

A set of 18 modified save games where the player starts immediately after the Epilogue, but with a "clean slate" and only a small amount of inventory items.

A set of 18 modified save game files where the player starts immediately after the Epilogue, but with a "clean slate" and only a small amount of inventory items. There is any location for the main camp from the story to select and any of the two protagonists: Arthur Morgan or John Marston. There are also different sets of characters in the main camp of each save game.

STARTING CONDITIONS:
- Starting completion progress: 66.3%
- Player to choose from: Arthur Morgan (healthy) or John Marston
- Player appears near any main camp to choose from, except for Guarma (in the latter case, the player appears southwest of Shady Belle, as automatically moved from the island of Guarma to the mainlands)
- Horse: chestnut male Tennessee Walker (given by default if the player does not have any horse)
- $75 of cash for any initial purchases
- Middle honor level
- Time: 06:00 AM, June 18, 1907 (the first day of the Epilogue)
- Almost blank Journal (John and Arthur fill it out differently)
- Most items from the inventory obtained during the story have been removed
- Almost clean hidden statistics (such as accounted numbers of total kills, earned money, crafted items, etc.)
- The basic set of equipment, weapons and a modest set of provisions (see "Description.txt" for details)

BESIDES:
- All side missions are available, except for those that are only available for a limited time during the main storyline. Those from the latter that can be replayed are available in the missions menu.
- Only one Random Encounter out of all the existing ones was triggered, to fill the O'Driscoll Gang compendium by 100%.
- Only one Bounty Hunting mission has been completed, which becomes unavailable in the Epilogue and after, but which can be replayed through in the missions menu ("Good, Honest, Snake Oil" in Chapter 2).
- Side Activities given by campmates are available at Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point and Shady Belle.
- Cigarette Cards compendium has been reset, as well as Animal and Herb compendiums have been reset almost entirely.
- All 90 Challenges are available for a new completion.
- No horse or saddle changes were acquired.
- No clothes were acquired, except for default, the original outfits are placed on the horse beforehand (3 types of "The Gunslinger" for Arthur and 2 types of "The Cowboy" for John).

CHANGED LOCATIONS:
- Colter is more heavily covered in snow, like at the beginning of Chapter 1.
- An avalanche north of Colter that was blocking access to the outer lands, mainly to places from the second mission of the Chapter 1 ("Enter, Pursued by a Memory"), has been removed.
- The Adler Ranch has been restored, but it is uninhabited by default (all 3 of these changes are interrelated).
- The Braithwaite Manor has been restored, but the mansion is closed by default.
- Graves of all the main characters have been removed, except for the two that were initially (grave visits were made beforehand).

KNOWN COMPLICATIONS AND GLITCHES:
Since there are changes made to the saves which were not intended by the game, you may encounter the following occurrencies.
- Arthur is being pursued by invisible snipers all over New Austin, so to roam freely around this state you need to install a script that removes these snipers, for example "No Out Of Bounds Snipers".
- There is a probability that, when playing as Arthur, the side missions for Jeremy Gill and L. Hobbs may not give out their completion, which may be the only obstacle to reach 100% completion.
- There is a probability that, when playing as Arthur, bounty hunting missions in Blackwater and Tumbleweed may not be available, it's also likely that there will be no random events related to these gangs, such as ambush attacks.
- The Ledger book in all camps is absent for replenishing any supplies, which makes the camp's funds useless. However, all the improvements offered by this book have already been purchased by default, and other improvements and donations can be made through Pearson (only in Horseshoe Overlook, Clemens Point, Shady Belle and Beaver-Hollow).
- When choosing Colter as the main camp, you may lose the possibility to sleep there and in any rented rooms, that is, you can only sleep in an self-built camp or in any small tent which can be interacted with. The cause for this is unknown.
- Near the Colter, the player can sometimes be surrounded by a very thick cloud curtain, might be a residual effect of a "bad weather" from Chapter 1. It's best not to move too fast if you face it.
- Jack is very often invisible in pre-Epilogue camps, more precisely, when he is not wearing sleeping clothes. This is probably due to the lack of clothing sets suitable for the teen-version of him.
- Characters of the Epilogue usually refer to Arthur as John, and characters of pre-Epilogue refer to John as Arthur.
- After replaying story missions, Arthur may acquire a pale unhealthy appearance, being perfectly healthy.
- John's pre-prepared outfits do not apply to Arthur, however, any of John's clothes items can be put on separately.
- The feature of setting up your own camp when choosing Guarma as the main camp may not be available at first, can be fixed by resaving the game or moving further away from the place of appearance.
