Shepherd Virgil Edwards

[size=4]At one time, Edwards and his 7th Generation cult were on top of the world. He had gathered many brothers and sisters in his goal to cleanse the world of sin - by taking the lives of as many people as possible. The law, aided by several bounty hunters brought Edwards' cult of personality to justice, but Edwards went into hiding.[/size]

[size=4]Word spread amongst the remaining cult members of how the Shepherd's doomsday plans went pear-shaped. In months, the once-impressive Virgil Edwards, became a pathetic laughingstock who indulges far too heavily in drinking. And what is a shepherd without his flock?[/size]

[size=4]It was only by chance he ran into Dutch van der Linde. Edwards saw himself in the man. A leader, someone who knew what he wanted and that ambition drew him to Dutch like cat hair on your clothes. Van der Linde didn't seem too interested in the failed prophet, until Edwards offered to teach him, to pass his talents onto the next generation. All he asked, was to be a part of his gang. To belong again.[/size]

[size=4]Why did Dutch entertain Edwards? Maybe it's because it strokes his ego seeing a former cult leader rely on him? Perhaps it's because Dutch is learning about leadership from his playbook? Or it could be that Edwards is genuinely too pathetic to turn away. Who knows?[/size]
