MIEI

Modern Industrial Extended Integration lets Modern Industrialization multiblocks use resources from other mods as part of a recipe.

How it works

Every integration works the same way. Add a hatch to the multiblock, in any position that already accepts one, and connect it to the other mod the way that mod normally connects. A recipe then declares what it needs, and the machine will not start until the hatch can supply it.

Most hatches come in three tiers matching MI's casings, and higher tiers hold more.

Matter

Input hatches feed a recipe, output hatches collect what it makes. Connect them with matter pipes. A network cannot drain an input hatch or push into an output hatch.

Stress units

The Stress Input Hatch sits in the multiblock. A Kinetic Coupler attaches to its exposed face, and you drive the coupler with a shaft. Load is applied only while the machine is crafting. If the network is overstressed the machine stops, which drops the load and lets the network recover.

Compressed air

Connect with pressure tubes. A recipe can require a minimum pressure, and air is taken when a craft starts. Fit a Security Upgrade in the hatch and it vents when it goes over danger pressure. Leave the slot empty and it ruptures instead, breaking and dropping itself without an explosion.

Heat

Heat or cool the hatch with any PneumaticCraft heat source. Recipes ask for a temperature range and can draw heat as they run.

Chemicals

Gases, infusions, pigments and slurries all use the same pair of hatches. Connect them with pressurised tubes.

Chronons

The hatch finds a Metronome within 8 blocks and charges from it, with no pipe needed. You can also sneak and right-click the hatch with any chronon battery to fill it by hand.

In game

Recipe requirements show in the machine's recipe view in JEI, REI and EMI. Each hatch has its own JEI information page. Jade shows live hatch contents when you look at one.

For pack makers

MIEI ships no recipes. It provides the hatches and the recipe conditions, so the balance is yours to set.

Requirements

Modern Industrialization is required. Replication, Create, PneumaticCraft: Repressurized, Mekanism and Tempad are each optional and independent, so install the ones you want and the rest keep working.
