Description

Dante's Sorting and Hoppers adds smarter item routing and a simple storage network, without touching vanilla hoppers.

Craft a Smart Hopper when you want the upgrade. Use Storage Panels when your chests get out of hand. Everything else in Minecraft keeps working the way you expect.

Smart Hopper

A real upgrade over the iron funnel, still familiar, just better when you need it.

  • Faces all six directions, including up (place against a block's underside)

  • Faster transfers: set 1× / 3× / 5× per hopper in the GUI (default 3×)

  • Item filter: Allow, Refuse, or Off, with ghost slots for the items you care about

  • Filters pulls from chests, furnaces, hoppers, and minecarts, and pushes into storage network blocks

  • Still redstone-lockable like a normal hopper

Craft: Hopper + Comparator + Gold Ingot

Vanilla hoppers are unchanged.

Storage Network

Link chests to a wall-mounted Storage Panel and manage them from one place.

  • Storage Panel: searchable inventory view of all linked chests, with Sort, Deposit, Restock, and a small craft grid

  • Network Linker: Shift + right-click a chest, then right-click a panel to link (range: 16 blocks)

  • Storage Proxy: optional bridge for longer range (up to 64 blocks from the proxy) and connecting two panels

Deposit and organize by item type: stackables first, one related group per chest when you have room.

Inventory tools

Sort, Deposit, and Restock buttons appear on player and chest screens:

  • Sort: merge stacks and tidy by related item groups

  • Deposit: push items into nearby chests or your linked network

  • Restock: refill partial stacks from storage around you
