CBC Sable Rangefinder Fix is a lightweight patch that prevents game-freezing lag when combining CBC Ballistics with Create Aeronautics (Sable).

The Problem

When using the CBC Ballistics Rangefinder on a Create Aeronautics physics ship, the game calculates target coordinates that are millions of blocks away. If this data is sent to the Artillery Coordinator via the Radio set, the mod attempts to render massive particle dispersion circles and lines. This instantly spawns millions of particles, hitting the Minecraft engine cap and freezing the game completely.

The Fix

This mod uses Mixins to safely cap particle generation:

  • Corrects DetectingProjectile to register the true global coordinate of a ship.
  • Hard-caps the ParticleHelper renderer so it never spawns more than a safe amount of particles (max 100 per circle / 200 per line), completely eliminating the FPS drops and crashes.
