Cloning Instructions:

[]Go to Clovis's Barberie or Mettefere's Cosmetics to edit your Arisen / Main Pawn.[/]
[]Select the [Edit current appearance] option.[/]
[]Select [Detailed Customization] (This step can be skipped if the [Allow normally unavailable option edits] option is enabled).[/]
[]Click the [Show NPC List] button.[/]
[]Search for the NPC you wish to clone.[/]
[]Click the [Clone NPC #] button for your selected NPC.[/]
[/list]You can specify which sections or variations of the NPC to copy.
Clone Type is for the section(s).
Appearance ID is for the character appearance variation.
Costume ID is for the character costume variation.
Hired pawns will show up in the NPC list and might have incorrect information.
You can't clone hired pawns using this method.

Change/Copy Costume Instructions (v1.0.5):

[]Search for the NPC whose costume you wish to copy.[/]
[]Click the [Copy NPC Costume #] button for your selected NPC.[/]
[]You can specify the Costume ID for this feature.[/]
[]There is also a section called Costume options where you can make changes to the current outfit of your character.[/]
[/list]Note: The game does not save changes made to variation styles. This does NOT take effect in menus, dialogue portraits and probably cutscenes.

If you are trying to put back your character's actual outfit but are unable to, you might have to reload your save file then unequip and reequip their armor.

It seems like the masquerade ball checks if your character is wearing the correct mask at least on the cosmetic side. So the guards might still  attack your character even though the correct mask is equipped but visually replaced through this mod. You can select which part of the NPC you wish to clone (v1.0.3).
This allows you to edit your character first then apply an NPC's specific features later after you exit the [Detailed Customization] menu.
